About the Wichita ASG
The Wichita, KS chapter of the American Sewing Guild meets the first Tuesday of every month (except July) at the Sedgwick County Extension Building 7001 W.21st St. North (about a quarter of a mile west of the zoo on Zoo Blvd/21st street). Our general meetings, open to all ASG members, are at 1:30 and 7. We also have several neighborhood groups that meet at other times and locations during the month — check the main blog pages for the latest meeting dates, times and topics. Visitors are welcome to check out a couple of meetings before joining.
The American Sewing Guild (ASG) promotes sewing of all kinds through encouragement, education and support. Our members are interested in a wide variety of sewing projects, including garments, quilts, accessories and home decor. At our monthly meetings we show off our successes, learn new techniques from speakers on a variety of topics, and laugh a lot. We do sewing-related community service projects, take bus trips to distant fabric stores, and hold sewing retreats. Once a year, we invite a nationally-known teacher to present hands-on workshops on creativity, technique, and fashion. If you love to sew, please join us! For information, contact Betty Brees, the Wichita chapter president, at 838-3709 or 04120501@cox.net, or Shirley Binder, the Wichita chapter membership coordinator, at sb1026049@onemain.com.

Hi, I am a new member and have not yet attended any meetings. Can you please let me know the meeting time? I see that it is the first Tuesday at the extension office, but don’t know when. Also, what is the program for June? Thanks so much.
