East Side Neighborhood Group

May 21, 2007

The first east side neighborhood group meeting was a smashing success!  We had 14 or 15 people last Tuesday at Needle Nook, which was an unexpectedly awesome turnout!  We even had someone from as far east as El Dorado!

Anne gave us some tips on sewing slinky, which can pretty much be boiled down to “wherever you think it might ripple, interface it with French Fuse.”  She showed us some really nice garments.  We also had a little show and share and lots of talk.  It was especially good to see Theresa out and about.

The next meeting will be June 19, 7pm, Needle Nook.  Anne will be talking about necklines on knits — so bring some examples of interesting ones.  Anyone is welcome — you don’t have to live on the east “side.”  Ifyou like, bring a snack to share.
