Jennifer Stern Jeans & T-Shirt Seminar – March 11 & 12

Fit Your Jeans and Shape your T-Shirt

Jennifer Stern Two Day Hands-on Seminars

Sedgwick County Extension Center (Wichita)

7001 W. 21st St. at Ridge Road

March 11 & 12, 2011

Make jeans to fit your body.  Jennifer brings a jeans pattern for both misses and women. She has a jeans-weight muslin in every size for you to try on. She will personally help you determine any alterations needed to the basic pattern in your size.  In addition to the fitting session, jeans making techniques will be demonstrated: the fly, pockets, and waistband. With a limited class size, experienced stitchers will learn to fit and sew their jeans on the first day.

Jennifer also has a t-shirt pattern for misses and women. It has upper body seams that allow for a great fit not seen in a ready-to-wear t-shirt. This is a hands-on fitting and construction class on the second day. You will bring your sewing machine and pre-washed stretch knit fabric to sew. Jennifer also has some lovely fabric available for purchase on Friday, so you can wash it and be ready to sew on Saturday.

Jennifer has her own pattern line including the jeans, t-shirt, khakis and a blouse styled for both misses and women.  She has also begun digitizing for embroidery.  She has written for the last six issues of Threads and teaches at sewing expos, including the 2010 National ASG annual conference.
